Theme: Ideas for future collaboration and research

Dear Conference Participant

I warmly welcome you to the Call for Creative Futures - conference to explore all exciting possibilities and challenges of the creative industries that lie ahead in the future. As a Workshop E organizer I also welcome you to participate in the workshop at the end of the first conference day.

The theme of the workshop E is “Ideas for Future Collaboration and Research”, and it aims to be a discussion platform to collaboratively design future scenarios and ideas for future research and development activities for creative industries. The objectives of the workshop are:

1. To develop a community of researchers, artists and other people working with the creative industries
2. To collaboratively develop and present new ideas and approaches for future joint research & development activities (target: 2-3 concrete ideas)
3. To initially explore different approaches for funding these activities nationally or internationally; for example FP7

The workshop is open for all. However, it is mainly useful to individuals who are
1. actively pursuing research directions related to creative industries
2. searching for new innovative ideas for future creative industries
3. artists willing to promote their ideas or themes
4. interested in new collaboration possibilities with researchers and industry partners

The preliminary agenda is
17:15 Introduction to the workshop &

18:00 Brief presentations of the results of each workgroup
18:20 Discussions
