Creative Processes and Content Business Management (CreaM)

The purpose of the project Creative Processes and Content Business Management (CreaM), provided by the Department of Art Studies and Anthropology and financed by ESF, is to strengthen the operational preconditions of the content business branch in higher education and academic research as well as on the private sector. The project will be carried out in 2005-2007.

The project starts from the premise that content business needs diverse understanding of both content and technology. In addition to this, new innovations and profitable business solutions also presume an ability to manage creative processes and a clear conception on how to commercialize new and innovative services and products.

The first stage of the project CreaM includes recruiting a group of five to eight experts for conducting research and creating networks. The researchers will also act as instructors and constructors of the plan of action and they will organize international and national seminars and conferences. The group will issue research results and educational material for future use. Furthermore, the aim of the research group is to support the plans for establishing a new multidisciplinary and international study program at the University of Oulu. The work of the group will be instructed by a group of experts from various fields in Content Business and management; arts and design, film and media producing, software, technology, mobile content and solutions, and research & development.

The target group of the project consists of the enterprises, organizations, projects, researchers, instructors, other experts and students in the field of content business.
